Success isn't given. It's earned. On the track, on the field, in the gym. With blood, sweat, and the occasional tear.
Hi! My name is Keri-Lynn. Welcome to my blog! I am privileged to support you in your horsemanship journey. This is my story.
I was a typical horse lover gal, born in a city, raised in a small town in Ontario, Canada, where God allowed my dream of owning a horse, to became reality. My horsemanship journey began in 2006 when I bought my first horse, Golden Prince, an 8yr old Haflinger gelding.
Prince entered my life through connections with friends. He was living the life of a dominant and opinionated, back yard pony after refusing to tolerate any longer the life of a trail horse on a resort in a prestigious Ontario tourist location.
And so began my wonderful, fascinating, endless journey--just a young girl with a big heart and Prince, a stubborn, opinionated pony.
Nine years after finding Prince, I have grown into a skilled horsewoman and have officially passed my Parelli Natural Horsemanship, Level 4 Online, Liberty and Freestyle with Prince. I plan to pass my Level 4 Finesse before the summer of 2015.
I educated myself in Parelli Natural Horsemanship using the study at home curriculum. I attended clinics as an auditor, and eventually rode and participated in several before spending a total of 8 1/2 months between February 2013 to Sept. 2014 apprenticing with Canadian Parelli 3* Instructor and Horse Development Specialist Fawn Anderson.
This past summer, May to June 2014, I attended the Parelli Fast Track course in Colorado, excelling and thriving in my learning and skills training. I plan to become a qualified Parelli instructor.
While my background is primarily with natural horsemanship I have successfully taught students of many different disciplines, interests, and goals. Combining the best of both worlds, I will be able to help you incorporate the principles of natural horsemanship into your specific discipline to achieve ultimate success!
I now live in Bobcaygeon, Ontario where I manage Extra Mile Equestrian Center. I am excited to be part of a vibrant team that strives to provide a safe, fun and positive atmosphere for equine lovers.
As well as managing the facility, I run a horse development program and teache horsemanship on and off property. While continuing to teach former clients, I am looking forward to meeting new eager students and helping people to succeed in their journey using natural horsemanship to advance their goals and succeed with their horses.
